Lesson planning is especially important for new teachers who have less experience. Keeping a lesson plan flexible but thorough gives the instructor room to adapt, while providing enough content for an entire lesson. I learned that writing goals for yourself and the student is essential to a proper lesson plan, and I believe that it will make a great difference in my teaching if I do so, because I will always have a clear purpose. In addition, it will be easier to see if my goals are being met or if I need to adjust them to suit my students.
