After this unit I knew how to examine level testing of students, how to design a syllabus and how to asses them. Although courses may vary in size, subject matter or level, a systematic process will help us plan and structure our course and syllabus to effectively reach desired instructional goals. Before the class begins, we should find out as much as we can about the students. We should consider the level of our course and the type and level of student that typically enrolls in this course. We should however also always ask for feedback from the students. If we are completing a specific group course (series of lessons) then every student is asked to complete an anonymous survey of what they liked, didn’t like, what they would have preferred more or less of, how approachable we were as teachers, how much individual attention they felt they received and if they would recommend us to others.
