In this unit I learnt the form and the usages of the tenses. Although we use these tenses regularly, when you are asked to explain which tense it is, it can get confusing especially for young students. This unit has taught me how to explain to the students using different means of activities. The video is detailed as usual and it helps to understand with examples. In the video, the past tense overview part gives a clearer understanding of the tenses. I like the teaching ideas of cutting cards of different pictures, create sentence what the people in the picture are doing at that time. The activity can be used in different tenses, past simple or past continuous. This can be done in groups and it can be played as a competition. The students will be learning tenses while having fun at the same time.
