This unit covers further details behind lesson planning as well as the importance of it. Lesson planning serves as three main things: 1) as an aid to planning, 2) as a working document, and 3) as a historical record. Writing lesson plans helps with organization and as a means to help classes run more smoothly. Things included in a lesson plan include: learner objectives (skills students should learn by the end a lesson), personal aims (goals or points of improvement for the teacher), language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems (and their solutions), procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, date/time, and teacher's notes.
