I think it was helpful to have this unit be similar to the present tenses unit. I appreciate how everything was broken out very simply, and I am certain that I will use the sample activate teaching ideas from this unit. I think this unit was a good refresher for me and it helped me think a little more deeply about certain situations in which verbs are used. I think the information from this unit and the present tense unit will help me shape my writer's workshop lessons to be a little more explicit in terms of using verb tense in writing AND speaking.
