Following the unit that focused on receptive skills, this unit dedicated to productive skills eventually enhanced my anchored conviction that speaking and writing are slightly more important and useful than receptive skills. There will indeed be no real improvement in a language learning journey if the students do not practice what they learnt by communicating. I do agree to what was mentioned in this unit regarding writing. It is often too neglected but remains essential nevertheless. That being said, I do think that speaking is the most important of them all, as it will allow the students to naturally improve their general language skills by on the one hand learning from their mistakes, and on the other hand absorbing and imitating the persons who they are speaking too. Fluency and accuracy will come faster and more naturally by having the courage to speak, even if what is produced still lacks accuracy.
