Unit 11 tells about receptive skills. There are two receptive skills equally important for any English learner - reading and listening. Also Unit gives special skills that we need to teach students to improve their understanding. It is five skills such as detailed reading, scanning, skimming, etc.
In my opinion this Unit and following Unit 12 are vital for teachers to understand. It is important to recognize each of this skills and make sure that all of them are taught during lessons over a period of time
