In this unit, the main purpose was to highlight the importance of having lesson plans. As teachers we must come prepared with our lesson so that we don't seem lost or unsure when students arrive to class. lesson plans are more of a guideline then a rigid plan. It is not necessary to strictly stick to the lesson plan since it is merely there to guide. Should a teacher's lesson plan not go as planned and an activity changes, teachers should jot down those notes on the plan so that it won't be forgotten. I think this lesson does a great job in giving detailed examples of how a lesson plan looks and can be organized. It helps with the structure and creates a smoother flowing class.
