I learned about conditional sentences and reported speech in this unit. I already had a good understanding of conditionals, but I surprisingly had a slightly difficult time wrapping my head around reported speech. I think it might have been because I never had to think about exactly how direct speech changes into reported speech. I never had to think of the grammar in such detail or put a name to the grammatical structures that I had to change. This unit also taught me how to effectively teach conditional sentences and reported speech to English learners.
