Conditionals belong to the more difficult part of English grammar. How to use them in everyday speech and how to use them correctly is not easy for me, like the test question 18> Are you working tomorrow? To answer either "Kate asked John if he was working tomorrow." or "Kate asked John if he was working the following day." or "Kate asked John if he was going to work the following day." doesn't make any difference to me. I would understand each of these answers the same, because I could not think the answer to refer to actual tomorrow, but a day in the past. This unit was helpful for me to memorize the different conditionals, and rules for the indirect/reported speech.
