This unit covered an introduction to grammar relating to parts of speech. Nouns, their use, the main types and plurals were covered. Countable and non countable nouns were also explained. Adjectives and their order was explained, as well as comparative and superlative adjectives. Indefinite and indefinite articles were discussed as well as where you can and cannot use different types of each. Transitive, intransitive and the infinitive of verbs were explained. Regular and irregular verbs were discussed as well as examples of their base form, past simple, past participle and present participle. Auxiliary verbs were also discussed. Adverbs were explained, as well as their placement and some common mistakes regarding this. Gerunds were then explained. Types of pronouns and prepositions/conjunctions were also explained. I found this lesson particularly useful, as I have learnt all of this but it becomes such second nature when you grow older as a native English speaker that you forget what most of it is and why there are certain rules in grammar.
