This unit was all about the past tense, and the ways in which the past tense can be used. I learned from this unit that there are several ways to use the past tense. Some of which are past simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous. I learned that the past simple tense is used for actions completed at a definitive time. I also learned that past continuous uses auxiliary verb was/were in sentences which an action began before that time and continued afterwards. However I do find it interesting that when using the past perfect continuous tense that the omission of the had + been would be considered a major error when using this tense.
