The content of this unit is about the two productive skills, speaking and writing. The difference between accuracy and fluency in regards to the speaking activities. Controlled activities are based on accuracy and the language is controlled by the teacher. For example, listening and pronouncing after the teacher. Guided activities are also, accuracy based and still controlled by the teacher, but allows for creativity, such as guided role-play. Whereas, the fluent based activities allows the students to free role-play. I learned about the reasons students are reluctant to speak in the classroom, such as fear of making mistakes, along with techniques on how to overcome it by creating a comfortable atmosphere. I also learned about creative communication games available that the teacher can use to encourage student's interaction.
