The content of this unit is about how to teach the vocabulary and grammar of a new language.
It about language functions and the types of ESA lesson plans that would be most effective.
I learned that the amount of words a student know, but doesn’t use is much larger than the words a student knows and uses.
I learned there are factors that will help the teacher determine how easy or difficult it will be for the student to learn a new vocabulary word, along with techniques she can use to teach it.
I also learned that in teaching the grammar structure, the students need to know the meaning, how it is used and formed and how it is spoken and written.
