In this unit I learned about teaching productive skills, specifically speaking and writing, I learned that there is a difference between accuracy and fluency. Accuracy is concentrated on using correct language, making sure you are saying the expression in the correct manner, while fluency is concentrated on being creative with the language. You will use fluency during the activate phase, which make sense because at this stage you are debating , and completing activities. On the other hand accuracy will be used in the study phase, because this is where the teacher is giving new vocabulary and using gap filled exercises. The last thing that I learned is about writing skills and it is important for students to learn how to write properly.
