This unit on Teaching Special Groups identified five categories of "Beginner" along with tips for teaching beginners and a list of methodologies, techniques, motivation and possible problems. Then it covered a list of suggestions for teaching individual students along with suitable activities, homework and checking. Then the Unit discussed the rewards of teaching children and special considerations for the classroom environment, what to do and not to do for the lesson as well as class management and discipline. Business English and English for Special Purposes was considered including one to one, in-company group, and in-school group situations. Special attention was given to Needs Analysis and Planning the Course. Planning the program, mid-course evaluation, materials, things to consider, your expertise and what to consider on arrival, during the course, and after the course were all covered.
