I think the primary lesson from this unit was preparation, and posturing. Preparation is vital when finding a job teaching BE. Posturing relates to how you carry yourself, not just in a foreign country, but also in the classroom. The mannerisms and classroom expectations will vary widely between classrooms, and also between countries. Most potential issues can be avoided with proper research and preparation to ensure that you understand what is expected, what is allowed, and what is absolutely not permitted in your work environment, but also in the overall culture.
