It is understandable how English learners would be confused with the variety of styles used to convey the subtle differences between types of Present Tense. Possibly the most challenging is knowing the difference between Present and Present Continuous. Use of the Auxiliary verb form of "to be" in the Continuous is different than the shorter form of the Present Simple, which excludes the use of that Auxiliary except in the formation of questions.
