This unit is a concise explanation of the main forms of the present tense. Although we all probably know what they are and how to use them, understanding as well as being able to explain tenses is essential for ELT. Although I have read through many texts about this subject already, it didn't all really sink in until I worked through the tasks at the end of this unit. I was able to cross question myself and get a clear picture about the differences between each tense form as well as the construction of sentences and rules of each tense form. I have a much fuller understanding of how to teach sentence construction after working on this unit.
