I felt that some parts of this chapter were more useful than others. Stress, intonation, and pronunciation are are very useful and the difference intonation chart examples and their matching usages are again useful and well-explained. I feel that the mouth diagrams and structure explanation are also useful. I feel there is an over emphasis on learning and using the phonetic script and I don't see how it will be that useful and not just more confusing and complicating to most students to introduce its usage in class with students, or that useful in day to day experiences with teachers (meriting 5 out of 20 questions).
