In this unit we looked at the difference aspects of a teacher and a learner. I can now identify what makes a good teacher and what makes a good learner by their characteristics. In order to be a good teacher, the teacher must recongise when to use different roles to solve different senarios, such as when is it appropiate to be a manager instead of promoter.
The unit also covers The Common European Framework which has 6 levels: A1, A2,B1,B2, C1, C2.
The unit highlights the language levels of learners: Beginner, Elementary, Low/pre-intermediate, intermediate, upper intermediate and Advanced. This helps the teacher to teach according to the level of the learner.
Important aspects such as motivation, nervouness, behaviour problems, language awareness, life experience and the culture of the learner are covered so it prepares the teacher for possible situations the learner may possess when teaching in the future.
