Troubleshooting for some of the most common problem situations in the classroom for teachers is covered in this unit. First lessons and the importance of establishing rapport when meeting a new class for the first time is detailed in this unit. I found it an important point to learn about because the first lessons sets the tone for the rest of the course and establishing what level the students in the class are familiar with EFL teaching and methodology. Typical warmers for classroom motivation at the start of English lessons are suggested. Working with students of different levels and large classes is also part of this unit. I found the strategies for dealing with those situations helpful for the future. Use of native language and when it is and is not appropriate in a class is information I will remember and keep in mind when teaching as it will help me to know when to allow native language use in the classroom and when it can be advantageous.
