The types of resources and teaching aids we use nowadays as teachers seems to be changing quite quickly and seems to be specific to the current circumstances of a particular region and language school or institute. For me, some parts of the present unit have felt to be quite outdated with references to cassettes and overhead projectors, but I am sure that some places still use these teaching aids frequently. My personal experiences have been strongly shaped by the usage of technology to provide real-time video lessons. The amount of technology used to deliver such classes is not trivial (including a camera and computer) and the need to check everything works as intended resonates very strongly with me. The tips provided on how to effectively use a whiteboard have been good. While the importance of accuracy and legibility seemed to be fairly obvious to me, suggestions on splitting the whiteboard into columns for different types of content seems to me to be a good idea where I can look to further improve. The list of resources provided here is an interesting one. I have checked some of them, and I am sure I will be coming back to them again on an as-necessary basis when needing more materials to make my lessons engaging.
