Pittsfield, Maine TESOL Online & Teaching English Jobs
This was a very difficult unit to study as there was not enough explanation or example sentences. Modals are easy to understand but passive and active voice was more difficult and phrasal verbs were especially difficult as not enough examples were given. Phrasal verbs are broken up into 3 types: Intransitive, meaning that the phrasal verb cannot be followed by a direct object. Transitive separable which means the the object pronoun can only come between the verb and the particle, but the object noun can come between the verb and the particle or after the particle. Thirdly, transitive inseparable where the object phrase or object pronoun can come after the particle e.g. she got over the operation.
