This unit covered modal auxiliary verbs and their uses in present, past and future.Modals can be used to express obligation, possibility, permission, ability, and advice, as well as differing degrees of formality. The active & passive voice was also addressed; in the passive voice, the object of an active verb becomes the subject of the passive verb. I also learned for the first time about relative clauses, dependent clauses, and independent clauses. Phrasal verbs (aka mulit-word verbs) consist of intransitive, transitive separable, and transitive inseperable.
