The unit covers the English tense system, it looks at the structures and useages of the present tense. The strutures are split into affirmative, negative and question.
The useage for present simple is listed as Habitual or routine actions, permanent situations and facts, commentaries, directions/instructions, historical sequences, newspaper headlines and present stories.
Present continious has 6 different useages an example is background events in present story.
Present perfect is the most difficult and has 4 useages, while present perfect continuous only has 2 usages.
There are many activity ideas for a teacher to present to students and let them practise such as questionnaires, Pictionary, role play and surveys. It is very helpful that the unit provides examples of common mistakes for each tense so it makes it easier to help correct the students.
