Despite the fact that teachers work on managing their classes they still might encounter different problems concerning students’ motivation, English knowledge levels, class size, listening comprehension and so on. In this unit I have learned how to deal with them. On the first lesson with the new group of students it is important to establish a good rapport, find out about the students, their interests and learning experiences. In the beginning of each lesson teachers should warm up and motivate students by using different games. In large classes teachers can use worksheets, pair and group work and choral drills to maximize STT. To help students to overcome difficulties regarding listening tasks teachers can try to pre-teach potentially difficult vocabulary, make sure that the tape is of a good quality and prepare extra exercises for those students who finished listening tasks faster than others.
