This unit made me flex my grade school muscles remembering all of the lessons on parts of speech.
This a general overview of the main parts of speech which are: nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, pronouns, gerunds, articles, prepositions, and conjunctions. The English language has basic rules which are quickly bent or broken outright to where a basic pattern in sentence structure can be seen but is not consistent past - Subject Verb Object.
No matter what, there will have to be a lot of memorization activities for students to be able to remember the differences that occur in each subsection of the parts of speech.
