Receptive skills and how to teach those skills was covered in this unit. The unit emphasises the importance of these skills but makes it clear that receptive and productive skills are equally important and should all be included during lessons to give a balanced and integrated lesson. I found this unit relatively easy to understand because all of the ways we read and listen I employ on a regular basis. I now know the terms used for these techniques and why they are used.
