This unit focuses on the problem areas while planning a lesson, where definitely first lessons are bit difficult to plan , but teaching existing groups are an added advantage here. Coursebooks should be avoided for first lessons, instead some engaging activities should be planned, followed by Warmers. To deal with students of different levels , different or sometimes same materials can be used , moreover , they can be made to work in pairs including a weak and a strong student. Larger classes can be handled well by applying certain techniques of encouraging all to participate. The primary focus should be on minimal use of native language.
