This is a unit on teachers and learners. The unit identifies the characteristics of a good teacher and learner in addition to their roles and responsibilities in the classroom. This unit also identifies the major differences between an adult and young learner, and list the levels of language ability that learners are often grouped into.
From this Unit I have learn than in order to be a successful teacher, one has to be motivated, kind and patient, and cares more about the learning of the students than the teaching. The students should have a desire to learn. We all learn in stages and our culture has an influence on our learning. Thus it is important for the teacher to be are of the students customs and differences.
From reading this unit, it can be concluded that motivation is the key factor in order for both teachers and learners to be successful.
