Unit 18 was about active/passive voice, modals and phrasal verbs. My main take away from this unit is that students learning english may have difficulty with modal auxiliary verbs. These difficulties include the number of uses that exist, forming negative sentence structures and questions as well as forming positive sentences in third person singular. I have also learned that they may be further confused when semi-modal auxiliary verbs are introduced and therefore it is important to be clear about the differences between true modal and semi-modal.
