This method has demonstrated specific success with those new to the field of teaching and also provides flexibility. In addition to suggestions for lesson plans, this section also discusses positive feedback, minimal teacher interaction in terms of corrections, and methods for increasing student comfort and active discussion in the classroom.
One of my Bachelor of Science degrees is in Psychology, a discipline where there is a common saying concerning the nature of competing theories that seek to explain a behavior or concept. It states that if there is evidence that supports concept A, and if there is evidence that supports concept B, the truth likely lies somewhere in the middle. In other words, the answer is a combination of both. I found this particularly relevant during the discussion surrounding which methods and techniques produce the best results for learning a second language. While I agree there are some methods that are more effective than others, it often proves more engaging to combine techniques and to remember that not all students absorb information the same way.
