In this unit I have learned some tips regarding teaching special groups such as beginners, individual students, young learners, Business English, English for Specific Purposes and monolingual or multilingual classes. In contrast to teaching adult students of general English these groups will require a special approach. Beginner learners require more visual aids, clear instructions, encouragement and constant revision. One-to-one classes give an opportunity to focus on student's specific needs, interests and language difficulties. With children teachers should avoid using their native language, speak slowly, use a lot of gestures, make their lessons fun, varied and interesting. For Business English and English for Specific Purposes teachers should develop a curriculum in accordance with students’ specific needs. Multilingual classes offer a great variety of experiences and ideas, whereas monolingual class students are likely to have the same language difficulties and interests.
