This unit, like the units covering present and past tenses, gave me a new reduced perspective on the intricacies and complexities of English grammar. I learned that there are 7 tenses that can be used to express facts, opinions, ideas, etc. about the future. While I know these tenses intuitively, I could not have explained the nuances of each of them without the help of this unit. I feel like I could teach this complexities much more clearly now, saying which structures can be used predictions, and even more nuanced, which can be used for ungrounded predictions (future simple) and which for grounded predictions (be going to) and which for predictions about now (future continuous). I would have to think of more games for some of these tenses, but ones like 'desert island' for future simple seems like it could go a long way in helping kids practice making different sentences about the future in a loose, flexible way.
