In this unit, I learnt to classify language skills into receptive and productive. We focused in this unit, on listening and reading which are the receptive skills. I knew that it isn't only the eye and the ear are important for these skills but also our brain is important for its processing and understanding. Skills needed for successful reading and listening like: predictive- scanning - skimming -detailed and deduction skills. For good lesson, teacher should take care for some aspects to help his students like:
pre-teaching vocabulary
careful selection of the text
Use of interesting topics
Measured difficulty tasks.
