This unit was really in need to some sound or video support. It discussed pronunciation and how difficult it is to teach for both foreigners and natives. Its importance lies in its addition of emotions and feelings to the language. this unit discussed: Intonation, stress and rhythm. Intonation is the change of volume and pitch of sound in the whole sentence. It adds a message. we have : the rise/fall, the fall/rise and the flat pattern.Techniques used for its teaching: Non-sense words- Gesture- humming and singing and board.
Stress is displaying the important part of the sentence, sometimes for one word or only a syllabus of the word. Methods of teaching like contrast-iv voice,gesture ,choral and board.
joining sounds like linking, sound dropping and changing and adding letters were the hardest part for me, because there is no any rule for it.

I learnt that the teacher is free to decide to devote whole lesson or only part of the lesson or even do it only when he feels his students need it. pronunciation is an integral part of language learning and shouldn't be ignored.
