I've learnt from this unit about usage of modal verbs in the present, the past and the future tenses. Modals can be used to express a lot of dirrerent ideas and it's important to be able to apply aoo of them correctly. It's also important to show students the difference in the use of the active and the passive voice and use a variety of teaching techniques. I think that the most difficult topic for students is the use of phrasal verbs, becauce they are rarely used in everyday speech. The teacher should try to use them naturally during uncontrolled practice.
