There are five main conditionals:
-Zero conditional: actions and facts that are irrefutale.
-First conditional: possible or probable future if the condition has been met.
-Second conditional: present or future hypothetical situation that is not yet true, and unlikely to be true.
-Third conditional: hypothetical past action and hypothetical past result.
-Mixed conditional: hypothetical past action and hypothetical present result.
As for the reported speech, it is important to know how and when to backshift the tenses and the time expressions.
