This Unit is about managing classes and provides ideas on what a teacher should pay attention to in orden to maintain a well organized, disciplined, and enthusiastic class. From how to engage students with activities to how to maintain order. There are several strategies such as using your voice, gestures and eye contact in a correct way. Seating is also important and the way the classroom is arranged. Finally, it talks about how to establish rapport between the teacher and the students, by being positive, giving clear instructions, having ice-breaking activities at the beginning of the class, amongst others. I think this was a really interesting unit since it teaches how physical presence, seating and classroom arrangements, and teacher and student speaking-time can influence the way you teach, and the way students learn.
