In this unit about past tense verbs and how they are structured within a sentence. Past continuous verbs are used for past actions that have been interrupted or a gradual increase of an activity that happened in the past. Past simple tense use verbs that end in "ed". Past perfect has the sentence structure as subject, had and past participle. Past perfect continuous isn't used very often in English, it has a subject, had + been and the verb ending in "ing".
