There are some old resources suchs as video cameras, cassete recorder, overhead projector, and black boards (chalkboards) that have been replaced by new technology, and might be used in some places where new technology is not available or is expensive to have.
Something to keep in mind when using technology such as Smartboards, computers and internet, is that the can fail in any moment without any warning. So it is important to have a backup plan when teaching lessons that include these resources. It is crucial to remmember this, since students will appreciate and respect a well prepared teacher.
Also, in order to deliver effective lessons using technological resources, the teacher must receive some basic training and some time to use and interact with these devices and resources.
In addition, there is another resource that is used in many school around the world to support lessons and provide practice to students, and they are the tablets or Ipads. With so many educaional apps developed, it is easier and faster to include them inside the lessons. It cuts down prep time and motivates the students to learn. The issue with this techonology is that is expensive and it needs to be connected to internet to use it to its full potencial, and many schools, centers or institutes may not have enough budget to purchase this resource. Some places might provide one for the teacher, if at all possible.
Anyways, it is important to rememeber no matter what type of teaching resource aid youu have, who makes the lesson interesting and engaging is a well prepared teacher with a good attitude.
