There are many teaching aids and equipment used to make lessons more interesting, effective and less dependent on textbooks. They are boards, interactive whiteboard, overhead projector, visual aids, worksheet and work cards, cassette recorder, CD player, videos and DVDs, video camera, dictionaries, course books, resource books, photocopiers, computers, online resources. Each of them has some advantages and disadvantages, but a teacher should find the most appropriate teaching aid to make his lesson more interesting according to each lesson. Some of the teaching aids are technology, so the teacher has to prepare very well before using the aid, otherwise it would take much of the lesson's time.
