In this unit, I watched the 2 videos. It showed me the difference between two ways for teaching the same lesson to the same student group. It exposed how important is the effect of the attitude of the teacher. It severely affects student’s participation. In the first lesson, the teacher started with the study phase without engagement. He didn't create rapport relation with his students. He was giving bad comments most of the time. He didn't explain the lesson or the activity planned in a clear way. The class was teacher centered and no enough time was given to the students to speak. For pronunciation, he listened to them in group so he cannot judge the correct from the wrong way and which student needs more repetition. Other mistakes were done.
I think the teacher in the second lesson corrected most of his mistakes in the first lesson. I still believe the lesson needed more fun, visual and auditory enrichment. I think starting with a suitable video or a song would be helpful to bring some joy to the class.
