This unit deals with the subject of English grammar. Modal auxiliary verbs can be used to express obligation, possibility, permission, ability, and advice. Modal auxiliary verbs can be used to convey varying degrees of formality as well. There are two voices used in the English language which are the active voice and passive voice. In the passive voice the agent is much less important. For practice exercises it can be useful to try and change between active voice and passive voice.
