We have learnt the huge part of English grammar - Past tenses. There are: past simple tense, past continuous tense, past perfect tense and past perfect continuous tense. The simple past tense is used to talk about completed actions at a particular time in the past. The past continuous tense is used to talk about actions that were in progress at specific time in the past. The past perfect tense is used to talk about the earlier of some past actions. The past perfect continuous tense is used to talk about an auction or event that started in the past and continued up to another point of time in the past. We have to know how to use these tenses and pass this knowledge to the students properly. We as teacher have to follow and achieve these aims (activate stage): maximize student talk time; make sure the students can use the language freely and improving their fluency; focus on the target language; use worksheets during the study stage, active phase should be communicative and encourage students to use the target language well.
