There are multiple methods of expressing the future tense of a verb, and there are subtle shades of meaning in these different forms of future tense. I think it would be best to begin teaching students simple future tense and then build from there. I think this lesson has good ideas about how to teach the different future tenses, i.e., fortune telling, or having the students write out a future plan for their careers. These could be fun and engaging exercises for the students.
