I have learned that there are many different styles of teaching/facilitating, and that a great teacher is able to demonstrate multiple ways of teaching during class. I also learned about the different learning stages of ESL students. I would expect a beginner to have little or no knowledge of the English language, an intermediate student to have a basic understanding of the language, and an advanced student to be able to communicate fully.
