Unit 3 Theories, Methods and Techniques as taught me quite a bit about properly using class time as well as a couple other notable ideas. The Engage, Study, Activate model of how the class should be organized is a method that many teachers use. I most certainly am in agreement with this model that Jeremy Harmer has created for teachers and students. Unit 3 made a great point when stating that errors and mistakes are not the same. Giving the student time to self-correct and allowing peers to assist in the correction decreases the possibility of the student losing morale in the class. This brought to my awareness the sensitivity required when correcting a student's work and grammar. Unit 3 is very informative and I will without a doubt be referencing this material later.
