I've been refreshed on the many parts of speech from sentence structure (subject, verb, object) to verb forms and the difference between prepositions and conjunctions. One thing I learned that I absolutely did not know before is the difference between a transitive and an intransitive verb.
A transitive verb is done to to someone or something (He studies a book) while an intransitive verb is not done to anything in particular (He studies).
